Jobs & Careers

The AAG provides extensive career resources to answer questions, guide your career planning, and help you find a job. The AAG posts job announcements as well as fellowship and internship opportunities in the Jobs in Geography Center; offers profiles of individual geographers; provides information about specific occupations, needed skills, and data on salary trends; and provides other career information.

One of our major activities is the JIG (Jobs in Geography) Center at the AAG Annual Meeting to match job seekers with employers.  Also, watch this site for a future online job board available to AAG members and employers.

We will continue to add information, insights, and advice about professional development and career planning from ongoing research and education projects, such as the EDGE project and enhancing diversity initiatives.
