Provides opportunities for geographers and others to make and screen films and encourage discussions on the role of films in the geographical encounter with the world. We know that films are an excellent form of teaching and a useful method for improving participation and community engagement. We think they should also be accepted by Research Frameworks as form of academic peer-reviewed output, and are working to develop a publishing platform that facilitates this process. We work to increase representation for women and BAME geographers and to promote film-making as a means of empowerment for marginalized communities.
