The Geography-Anthropology Department at the University of Southern Maine invites you to join us at the New England & St. Lawrence Valley (NESTVAL) Regional Division of the Association of American Geographers Annual Meeting for 2023.
The meeting will take place at the University of Southern Maine – Portland campus in the beautiful coastal city of Portland, Maine. Portland is the cultural and economic heart of Maine. It boasts award winning restaurants, art galleries, a working waterfront, the charming Old Port and much more. Join us for an exciting two days of meeting colleagues, engaging presentations and of course the exciting Geography Bowl!
There will also be side visits planned to the world-class Osher Map Library & Smith Center for Cartographic Education at the University of Southern Maine and the New England Ocean Cluster House on the Portland city waterfront.

Please register for the conference first before you submit an abstract directly through the abstract submission portal. Abstracts are due no later than October 23, 2023. The AAG-NESTVAL Annual Meeting committee will review all submitted abstracts and publish a preliminary program shortly thereafter.
Paper, poster and panel presentations are welcome. All sessions are 90 minutes long and each paper presentation will be 15 minutes. The Geography Bowl will be held on Friday October 27, 2023 and all paper, poster and panel session will be on Saturday October 28, 2023.
