AAG Globe Book Award for Public Understanding of Geography
Deadline: 31 December, yearly
A committee awards the annual prize for a book that conveys most powerfully the nature and importance of geography to the non-academic world. An award of $1,000 will be made to the author(s).
Eligibility: Books must be written or co-authored by a geographer. Books published in calendar year 2013 are now eligible for the awards.
Submissions: Nomination statements (two page maximum length) should provide full contact information for the author(s) and the nominator(s), including email addresses, and should document the ways the nominated work conveys the nature and importance of geography to the non-academic world. Please submit nomination statements and four copies of each nominated book to: Association of American Geographers, attn: Globe Book Award, 1710 Sixteenth Street NW, Washington DC 20009-3198.
