Data, Software, and Other Resources

Many Web sites provide free and low-cost data and geographic information system software that can help you with your project. There are numerous other resources of use to students and instructors researching and measuring sustainable development issues geographically.

A list of recommended resources is also provided at the end of each chapter of the My Community, Our Earth teacher's booklet.

We have assembled a more extensive list of helpful resources for data, software, and relevant information. Select a topic from the pulldown list and click Search.

If you are looking for a resource topic that is not listed in the MyCOE database, and would like to request information from Sustainable Development Experts on the topic, please search for a Mentor here.
