Forest Species Native to the District of Santiago de Veraguas PANAMA Nathalia D. Tejedor Flores Mentor: Teobaldo Hernández This project maps the distribution of eight native trees species within the city of Santiago de Veraguas to help determine the effects of rapid industrialization. Groups of students will carry out inventories of trees by species and location using GPS unitis and will complement this work by speaking at schools about the importance of environmental awareness.
