Objective: It is a perplexing irony that ecotourism sometimes results in the destruction of the ecological area of interest to the tourists.  Over the past 12 years, dramatic increases in ecotourism and the general tourist industry have lead to degradation of the areas mangroves.  This project seeks to diagnose the extent, including the spatial extent of the problem, in order to inform potential solutions for protection in the midst of development and growth.
