Seeking effective ways to restore and maintain healthy marine environments, the Ocean Fund , AAG, CATHALAC, STRI and ANAM have partnered to conduct an environmental project with the Districts of Chagres, Donoso, Portobelo and Santa Isabel, located in continental Caribbean coastal zones near the Panama Canal. This research and educational effort is designed to promote integrated coastal and marine management through capacity building, organizational strengthening, direct public participation and decentralized local governance. The Partnership was formed in part through MyCOE’s participation with the White Water to Blue Water Partnership.
