Environmental Pollution Anthony Gathambo
Geographic focus: Kenya / Lake Naivasha Date completed: 2002 The ecosystem of Lake Naivasha is under threat due to the rise in human population density and associated effects of intensive irrigation, land subdivision, and intensive use of agro-chemicals and deforestation. Anthony Gathambo, a student at Moi University in Kenya, mapped land use/land cover around the lake to evaluate the effects of human activities on the environment.
