MyCOE Regional Initiative

MyCOE's Geographic Learningship program is a special learning experience that provides university students the opportunity to gain valuable workforce skills, use geographic knowledge and tools, and engage with local communities on real-world sustainable development issues.

MyCOE is supporting the involvement of students and their institutions in applied work with local communities on targeted sustainable development activities. Topics are site-specific, developed by project administration in conjunction with local communities, but center broadly on issues of natural resource / watershed management in the US Gulf States and the Greater Caribbean Region. Areas of work include Puerto Rico, the US Gulf States of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, and international sites in Honduras, Jamaica, and Panama.
