| The Coastal and Marine Geography Specialty Group (COMA) builds community among geographers who have interests in the oceans and on and near coasts. We are students, professors, and non-academics sharing knowledge from our work and from a wide variety of scales from millimeter movements of sand grains on a beach to erosion/deposition changes on coastlines of hundreds of kilometers. Coastal and Marine Geography spans the human/physical divide in geography; members of our group study topics from tourism to physics and biogeography. We welcome geographers with interests and research overlapping into the coastal and marine realms.
