| Our book, Geography of the Holy Land: Perspectives, has received great reviews. More than 900 free copies have been distributed to members at AAG meetings. The Bible Geography Specialty Group organized a requested all-day session on "Climatic Change," for the NCGE Annual Meeting in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, October 18, 2007.
Also, Dr. Dando presented and illustrated a convocation at
the University of Northern Iowa (UNI), entitled, "Viewing the Holy Land
from Above: Old Resources and New Technologies for Understanding the
Geography of the Bible." This was the inaugural lecture for UNI's
new program in the geography of the Bible. The Jonathan Lu and Sayoko Lu
Bible Geography Endowment Fund and UNI's Department of Geography
sponsored the presentation. The endowment fund was established for
the enhancement of Bible geography teaching and research. |
