Organizers

Association of American Geographers
The Association of American Geographers (AAG) was founded in 1904 and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The AAG collaborates with international academic organizations, government and nonprofit agencies, and private firms to further the advancement of geographic research, education, understanding, and applications. It supports the publication of scholarly studies and undertakes research and educational programs that help provide geographic solutions to the needs of society and the world. AAG serves as the My Community, Our Earth Secretariat.

ESRI develops geographic information system (GIS) software for all types of organizations ranging from educational institutions to government agencies to multinational corporations.

National Geographic Society
NGS lgoSince 1888, National Geographic's Mission is to support critical expeditions and scientific fieldwork, encourage geography education for students, promote natural and cultural conservation, and inspire audiences through new media, vibrant exhibitions, and live events.

United Nations Environment Programme
UNEP logoThe mission of UNEP is to provide leadership and encourage partnerships in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.
