Seamless Data Distribution System

All seamless products, including 1/3-arc second NED (10m), 1-arc second NED (30m), NLCD, High Resolution Orthoimagery, and SRTM are available for download or media (CD & DVD). Information about each product can be linked from this website.  The National Elevation Dataset Pre-Defined Areas on CD can be found at http://edcsns17.cr.usgs.gov/nedcd or http://earthexplorer.usgs.gov.

GloVis *

GloVis (USGS Global Visualization Viewer) is a quick and easy on-line search and order tool for selected satellite data. The viewer provides immediate user-friendly access to browse images from the Landsat 7 (ETM+) and Landsat 4/5 (TM) sensors, as well as ASTER Level-2 Decorrelated Stretch VNIR from the DAAC inventory.

Land Deformation

Website is the homepage for an interdisciplinary research group that investigates an array of earth science problems that span the traditional domains of NMD GD and WRD. Washington DC Comprehensive Urban Ecoregion Study

This project will utilize The National Map to bring USGS scientific data and expertise to bear on critical issues facing urban areas in USGS's Eastern Region, including security, vulnerability of water resources, natural hazards, urban sprawl, and the conservation and protection of National parklands and other natural resources. The sites selected for initial study are Washington, D.C. and Charleston, S.C.

Tampa Case Study
