The AGB is a scientific and technical society that promotes the development of geography in Brazil through publications and an annual meeting. The AGB is organized into numerous local sections, which carry out their own activities. 

Associação Latinoamericana de Estudantes de Geografia
 (Latin American Association of Geography Students)
This student organization serves as a voice for young geographers from Latin America. The website advertises news of upcoming events, provides information on opportunities for geographers, and hosts forums.

Asociación Latinoamericana de Geofísica Espacial
(Latin American Association of Space Geophysics)
This interdisciplinary scientific organization carries out research projects and promotes the development of geospatial technologies in Latin America.

Conferencia de Geógrafos Latinamericanistas
(Conference of Latin Americanist Geographers)
The Conference of Latin Americanist Geographers was organized to foster geographic education and research on Latin America. It publishes a Newsletter and the Journal of Latin American Geography, as well as operating an electronic listserv for members, CLAGNET.

Grupo GeoLat
This network of professors, researchers, and other practitioners of geography publishes an open access journal and maintains a web portal to promote collaboration on geographic research and projects in Latin America.

Instituto Panamericano de Geografía e Historia
(Pan-American Institute of Geography and History)
This technical and scientific body of the OAS specializes in areas of cartography, geography, history and geophysics. For 80 years, the Institute has promoted collaboration among researchers throughout the Americas by sponsoring conferences, publishing journals and organizing workshops.

Rede de Pesquisadores de Gênero e Geografia da América Latina
 (Latin American Geography and Gender Network)
This network of geographers interested in the subject of gender collaborates on research projects that adopt a spatial perspective on issues such as gender relations, inequality and minority rights. The website hosts a trilingual forum.

SERVIR
SERVIR is a regional visualization and monitoring system for Mesoamerica that integrates satellite and other geospatial data for improved scientific knowledge and decision making by managers, researchers, students, and the general public.

Sociedad Especialistas Latinoamericana en Percepción Remota
(Latin American Society for Specialists in Remote Sensing)
This geographical society is organized into national chapters which carry out training workshops and hold meetings. The organization as a whole publishes a journal and every two years organizes a symposium. The website hosts a comprehensive dictionary of terms related to remote sensing in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
