Researchers map job opportunities in the "clean economy"

"Green” or “clean” activities and jobs related to environmental aims remain tricky to define and isolate—and count. Brookings Institute researchers have assembled a database and online maps in an attempt to tackle this issue. Findings reveal that the South has the largest number of clean economy jobs while the West has the largest share relative to its population. Metropolitan areas lead in total jobs and recent growth.
