Spotlight profile: Jonathan Meiburg, indie rockstar and biogeographer

November 15, 2013

Jonathan Meiburg is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter for the band Shearwater. As the name of his band and the titles of numerous albums suggest, he's also an avid ornithologist who holds a master's degree in biogeography from The University of Texas at Austin. The articles linked below reveal how Jonathan's music has been influenced by his interest in the natural world and provide glimpses into his fieldwork experiences in remote habitats around the globe.
