College grads flock to metro areas

From 2006-2011, the number of recent college graduates living in the 100 largest metro areas of the U.S. grew by more than 1.4 million. Just four major metros -- New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles -- accounted for about one-quarter of the increase. In addition to the large urban hubs that have traditionally attracted young graduates, some smaller metropolitan areas have also seen significant growth, reports a recent article in USA Today based on figures from the U.S. Census Bureau.
