US Geography Graduate Students Attend Spring Academy at Heidelberg University

(Credit: Heidelberg Center for American Studies)Geography graduate students John Elrick of UC Berkeley and Denise Goerisch of San Diego State and UC Santa Barbara recently attended the prestigious and internationally competitive Spring Academy in the Heidelberg Center for American Studies at Heidelberg University. They met Professor Ulrike Gerhard of the Heidelberg University Institute for Geography and were joined by Richard Schein, Fulbright Bicentennial Chair for North American Studies at the University of Helsinki (on leave from Kentucky).
The academy is an annual, one-week interdisciplinary conference for Ph.D. candidates working in different fields of American studies.
