Whether you are a recent graduate seeking your first full-time job or simply looking to change careers, volunteering can help get you the job you've always wanted, according to a recent blog post on The Undercover Recruiter.

Stacey Donovan Zapar, a CEO with over 15 years' experience recruiting for Fortune 500 companies, argues that volunteering yields a wide range of benefits that can help enhance your employability. Even if it's only for a few hours a week, volunteering is "way better than having no current employer on your resume, which is an automatic deal-breaker for many recruiters," says Zapar.
