Conference of Irish Geographers 2013 - Transformative Geographies: Critical Reflections on Environment, Sustainability and Governmentality

Geography at National University of Ireland, Galway will welcome Prof. David Harvey, Distinguished Professor of Anthropology and Geography at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) and Prof. Douglas Sherman, Professor and Chair of the Geography Department, at the University of Alabama, to Galway as Keynote speakers at this year’s Conference of Irish Geographers (CIG).
The Conference, which will take place May 16 - 18 at NUI Galway, marks the 45th CIG and the 50th anniversary of Geography at NUI Galway.
In addition to a general call for papers, authors are encouraged to submit papers which address this year’s conference theme - Transformative Geographies: Critical Reflections on Environment, Sustainability and Governmentality. The deadline for submission of abstracts is March 14, 2013.
