December 12, 2012
The scholarly, peer-reviewed, inter-disciplinary journal Material Culture is currently accepting manuscripts. Material Culture is in its 44th year of publication and is published twice annually. The journal seeks papers that examine any aspect of material culture. Material culture is defined as any tangible or artistic aspect of culture. Contributions could include, but are not limited to, papers on folk and popular culture, the visual and performing arts, culture and technology, historical and present-day analyses of human imprint on the landscape, and topics in historic preservation and planning. Regional focus is open, and papers on international topics are welcome. All manuscripts undergo a double-blind review process. Submission guidelines are available on the journal’s website or by contacting the editor. Ideas for special guest-edited issues are also welcome and should be developed in consultation with the editor. Material Culture is indexed in full-text format through JSTOR and ProQuest. For further questions, or to submit article manuscripts for consideration, contact Dr. Sara Beth Keough, Editor.
