Deforestation is threatens Turkey’s natural landscape. Students from Ankara, Turkey, mapped the composition and extent of forested land as well as the distribution of forestry schools throughout the country. They recommended that the government reduce the price of firewood to discourage illegal collection of wood and that education campaigns promote the importance of woodland conservation.
