The Central Places Theory developed by Walter Christaller provides a useful framework to analyze the emergence of the new centers of power, which may be evaluated using GIS technology. Ricardo Calvo-Tenopala studied how the spatial distribution of the power in the international relations has changed over the last thirty years. Ricardo proposed to create almanac that will include detailed maps with statistical analysis, and a summary of the impact of the main economical, political and sociological changes at international levels.
