As cities grow in size ad become more and more densely populated, conflicts inevitably emerge between groups of residents who with alternative views on how development should progress. Carlos Gallegos, a student at the Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano, in Santiago, Chile, studied how changes in land use, particularly the specialization of urban functions, contribute to sustainable development. As part of the project, Carlos created a map showing the evolution of land use changes in Peñalolen.
