My Community, Our Earth Founding Partners

The following organizations founded the MyCOE Partnership, which was launched at the World Summit for Sustainable Development 2002 with other public agencies and private entities.

Association of American Geographers (AAG) has served as the MyCOE Secretariat since its inception, collaborating with international academic organizations, government and nonprofit agencies, and private firms to further the advancement of geographic learning for sustainable development.

Esri develops geographic information system GIS software, tools, and materials for all types of organizations ranging from educational institutions to government agencies to multinational corporations.

National Geographic Society supports critical expeditions and scientific fieldwork, encourages geography education for students, promotes natural and cultural conservation, and inspires audiences through new media, vibrant exhibitions, and live events.

United Nations Environment Programme provides leadership and encourages partnerships in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.
