Subject/topic of class/group you assisted your collaborator with: Environmental science, Sustainability practices, Earth Science, and GIS. The majority of the activities on the website are for elementary students.

Approximately how many students were engaged in GIS activities through this collaboration: 25 - 50

How did you connect with your collaborator?  I have reached out and connected with educators through community events and social media.

Describe your collaboration process. Estimated time of communication: two to three times a month. Estimated Length of time: For six months or more. I communicated with my collaborator by phone, email, text, and social media.

Describe the tasks you assisted your collaborator with. Career related information and software skills. 

What available resources, if any, did you use or help your collaborator use to implement GIS in K-12 education? GeoInquiries and the free introductory course on the ESRI website.

What did you gain from the experience? What do you think your educator collaborator and/or the students gained? I believe the students are gaining knowledge and exposure to the GIS career field. I'm connecting with students who reside in low income communities in the state of Michigan. My main area of focus is Detroit Public School District.
