How did you connect with your collaborator?  Eric Magers and I have been collaborating on coastal science educating and research for years. Eric's latest work involves the creation of a non-profit, Seaside Sustainability, for which I sit on the board of directors. Seaside focuses on environmental education, coast research and regional advocacy.

Describe your collaboration process. I oversee Seaside's GIS and in doing so lead training with the staff and interns on various aspects of ArcGIS Online. I also assist in the analysis of field data and the creation of geo-information products for public-side consumption.

Describe the tasks you assisted your collaborator with.Staff training, some analysis and product creation.

What available resources, if any, did you use or help your collaborator use to implement GIS in K-12 education? GeoInquiries and ESRI training lessons

What did you gain from the experience? What do you think your educator collaborator and/or the students gained? A greater understanding of geo-spatial sciences
