Earthquakes And Tsunamis - Historical And Geological Records & Modeling at the AGU Meeting of the Americas in Cancun, Mexico

The  2013 AGU Meeting of the Americas will be held in Cancun, Mexico, May 14-17, and will offer a session in the Natural Hazards section of the meeting entitled NH02: Earthquakes And Tsunamis - Historical And Geological Records & Modeling.

This session aims to bring together a broad spectrum of scientists, who deal with such diverse questions as paleoseismology and tsunami deposits, historical records and modeling to improve the public's preparedness for natural disasters. It is an opportunity for all the participants to share new findings and lessons learned from the recent great earthquakes and tsunamis around the globe, find out how their own activity fits into the broad picture of science, and to aid in the communication between scientists and society.
