The AAG is accepting nominations for the newly created Harold M. Rose Award for Anti-Racism Research and Practice. The award, named in honor of the Association’s first black president, will be awarded to geographers whose research and practice advances geography and impacts anti-racist scholarship. Harold Rose pioneered research on the conditions faced by African-Americans. Nominations are due by Dec. 17. Non-members of the AAG are also eligible for the award.
