ELDAAG 2020! Meeting CALL FOR ABSTRACTS!

Join us for a virtual conference hosted by Bowling Green State University’s School of Earth, Environment and Society on October 29-30, 2020!

The 2020 Annual Meeting of the East Lakes Division of the American Association of Geographers will take place on October 29-30, 2020. Events include virtual field trips on Thursday, a keynote by Amy Lobben, AAG President, a plenary panel on the need for geography and equitable policies, and more!

All presentations and posters must be submitted in video form. More info to come.

Video and abstract submissions are due October 2, 2020. Register now at: bit.ly/3lTSV30

NOTE: Following the new AAG guidelines, each paper presentation will be 15 minutes total (10 minutes + 5minutes for questions). This is a change from the previous length, which was 20 minutes total.

Please share the following ELDAAG Meeting opportunities with faculty and students in your departments!

➢ ELDAAG Student Presentation Competition. All students presenting papers or posters are automatically entered in the competition when they register as a student. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash awards for PhD, MA and BA/BS students.

➢ AAG Council Awards for Outstanding Undergraduate and Graduate Student Paper at a Regional Meeting. This competition is separate from the one above. Designed to encourage undergraduate/graduate student participation at AAG Regional Division meetings, it also supports their attendance at AAG Annual Meetings. The paper must authored by students only. The awardee will receive $1,000 from ELDAAG for use towards their registration and travel costs to the April 2021 AAG Annual Meeting in Seattle, WA. Click the link for more information about this award: https://bit.ly/2Z8Bwdt Award Guidelines are on the East Lakes website

ATTENTION! Faculty judges are needed for these competitions! Please contact Nathan Rowley, ELDAAG Secretary-Treasurer (nrowley@owu.edu).

We look forward to “seeing” you there!
