Those undertaking research related to disability, mental health, aging and chronic illness (and other related areas) and people interested or involved in disability activism will find membership in this group to be useful.
Student members are welcomed and should note that the DSG hosts an annual paper competition, named in honor of disability scholar Todd Reynolds. Members are also encouraged to join the GEOGABLE listserv in order to receive updates relevant to the DSG and this area of geographic scholarship more broadly. Finally, members of this specialty group look forward to working with the Council and the AAG staff to reach out to the disability community (geographic and otherwise) and serve their needs through our teaching, research and service.
