AIR TRAVEL DISCOUNTS – UNITED AIRLINES
United Airlines is the official airline of the AAG 2006 Annual Meeting. Call United’s Specialized Meeting Reservations Center at 1-800-521-4041 to obtain the best fares and schedule information. Domestic travelers are asked to press #1 at the first main menu and International Travelers should select #2. Make sure you refer to Meeting ID Number 538TN. Dedicated reservation agents are on duty Mon-Fri from 8:00 am – 10:00 pm EST and Sat-Sun from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm EST.

Domestic Travelers:
United Airlines is offering special discounts for AAG 2006 Annual Meeting attendees. If you or your travel agent call United’s Meeting Plus Reservation Center toll-free at 1-800-521-4041 to book your reservations (press #1 at first menu), you will receive a 2% discount off the lowest applicable discount fare. An additional 5% discount will apply when tickets are purchased at least 30 days in advance of your travel date. Additional discounts are also available on select fares and area fares. The United representative you speak with when you call United’s Meeting Plus Reservation Center can provide additional information. Discounts apply to travel on domestic segments of all United Airlines and United Express flights.

International Travelers:
United Airlines is offering special discounts for AAG 2006 Annual Meeting attendees. If you or your travel agent call United’s Meeting Plus Reservation Center toll-free at 1-800-521-4041 to book your reservations (press #1 at first menu), you will receive a 10% discount off the lowest applicable discount fare, excluding First Class, or a 15% discount off full coach fares, with no advance purchase. An additional 5% discount will apply when tickets are purchased at least 60 days in advance of your travel date. Discounts also apply on United Express.

AIR TRAVEL TO CHICAGO

O'Hare International Airport (773-686-2200) handles more passengers than any other airport in the world. For visitors needing information or directions, airport information booths are located on the lower levels of the domestic terminals and on the upper and lower levels of the International Terminal. A foreign currency exchange is located on the lower level of the International Terminal. Visit www.ohare.com for additional information.

Midway Airport (773-838-0600) is located at 5700 Cicero Avenue, 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. The one-building airport is divided into three terminals, A, B and C. GROUND TRANSPORTATION TO PALMER HOUSE HILTON (from Airports)

O’Hare International Airport:

Subway/Rail: The Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Blue Line provides 24-hour access between downtown Chicago and O'Hare International Airport. Trains run approximately every 8 minutes from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, and approximately every ten minutes from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. Currently, a one-way fare for the 45-minute ride is $1.75 and $.25 for a transfer. The CTA station is located at the lowest level of the Main Parking Garage (next to elevator center 4) and is accessible by pedestrian tunnels located in Terminals 1, 2, and 3. From Terminal 5, take the Airport Transit System (ATS) to Terminal 3 and follow the signs. To get to the Palmer House, take the Blue Line to the Monroe Street stop (Dearborn/Monroe are the cross streets), come up to the street then walk eastwards on Monroe, about 5 minutes, to State Street. Taxicabs: Taxicabs are available on a first come, first serve basis from the lower level curb-front of all terminals. There are no flat rates because all taxicabs run on meters. Shuttle: Continental Airport Express is offering discounts for AAG attendees. Daily shuttle service is offered from O'Hare International Airport to the Palmer House Hilton. The fare is $23.00 one-way. An information counter and pickup is located in the baggage claims areas of Terminals 1, 2, and 3, and outside U.S. Customs in Terminal 5. Rail/Train: The Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) Orange Line is accessible from the airport. The Palmer House is just 20-30 minutes from the airport via CTA. To the Palmer House, take the Orange line to the Adams/ Wabash stop. Come down to the street and walk north, about 200 yards to the hotel’s Wabash door. The hotel address is 17 E Monroe Street.
