Travel Information AIR TRAVEL DISCOUNTS – UNITED AIRLINES Domestic Travelers: International Travelers: AIR TRAVEL TO CHICAGO O'Hare International Airport (773-686-2200) handles more passengers than any other airport in the world. For visitors needing information or directions, airport information booths are located on the lower levels of the domestic terminals and on the upper and lower levels of the International Terminal. A foreign currency exchange is located on the lower level of the International Terminal. Visit www.ohare.com for additional information. Midway Airport (773-838-0600) is located at 5700 Cicero Avenue, 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. The one-building airport is divided into three terminals, A, B and C. O’Hare International Airport: Subway/Rail: The Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Blue Line provides 24-hour access between downtown Chicago and O'Hare International Airport. Trains run approximately every 8 minutes from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, and approximately every ten minutes from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. Currently, a one-way fare for the 45-minute ride is $1.75 and $.25 for a transfer. The CTA station is located at the lowest level of the Main Parking Garage (next to elevator center 4) and is accessible by pedestrian tunnels located in Terminals 1, 2, and 3. From Terminal 5, take the Airport Transit System (ATS) to Terminal 3 and follow the signs. To get to the Palmer House, take the Blue Line to the Monroe Street stop (Dearborn/Monroe are the cross streets), come up to the street then walk eastwards on Monroe, about 5 minutes, to State Street. Taxicabs: Taxicabs are available on a first come, first serve basis from the lower level curb-front of all terminals. There are no flat rates because all taxicabs run on meters. Shuttle: Continental Airport Express is offering discounts for AAG attendees. Daily shuttle service is offered from O'Hare International Airport to the Palmer House Hilton. The fare is $23.00 one-way. An information counter and pickup is located in the baggage claims areas of Terminals 1, 2, and 3, and outside U.S. Customs in Terminal 5. Rail/Train: The Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) Orange Line is accessible from the airport. The Palmer House is just 20-30 minutes from the airport via CTA. To the Palmer House, take the Orange line to the Adams/ Wabash stop. Come down to the street and walk north, about 200 yards to the hotel’s Wabash door. The hotel address is 17 E Monroe Street.
