ORGANIZED SESSIONS Deadline - 3 November 2005Individuals, groups, and specialty groups may organize sessions at the AAG annual meeting. Organized Sessions are a great way to bring distant colleagues together to discuss current research and to advance your field. If you choose not to participate in a pre-organized session, the AAG Centennial Program Committee will organize your paper into the most germane session available. • Each session may have up to two organizers, and may have only one chair • Paper Sessions consist of 5 papers or 4 papers and a discussant. Each paper is expected to conform to the 20-minute time limit. • Illustrated Paper Sessions consist of 8-12 illustrated papers. Refer to the illustrated paper guidelines for information on format. • Panel Sessions consist of 4-6 participants. These sessions are 100-minute discussions among the panel and audience members. Formal presentations are not to be part of panel sessions. • The format of the Interactive Short Paper (ISP) Session allows for 10-14 five-minute paper presentations involving a maximum of ten PowerPoint slides per presentation, summarizing research or research in progress in a particular field, followed by a 30- to 45-minute interactive round table discussion among presenters and audience attendees. To submit an organized session, have all of your session participants submit their abstracts online. When they do this they will be provided with a Presenter Identification Number (PIN), which will be the same as their AAG ID number. If you have a discussant who is not submitting an abstract, she can forward you her PIN as long as she has registered for the meeting first. Please collect these PIN numbers from your presenters and discussants and proceed to submit your session.
