The monthly
AAG Newsletter highlights items of interest to
association members, recognizes accomplishments of members and
provides a venue for publication of association business. Each
issue includes announcements of forthcoming grants and competitions,
conference notices, calls for papers, profiles of members and
geographic centers, messages from the AAG President and executive
director, news of the AAG Specialty Groups, a list of forthcoming
domestic and international conferences, recognition of members
who have been in the news or won awards, and the “Jobs in
Geography” employment section.
Submitting
Material to the Newsletter
All Newsletter materials must be received by the Association
office by the 1st of the month preceding the month of the publication.
The July/August issues are combined. The deadline for the combined
July/August issue is June 10. Digital submission is preferable.
This deadline also includes job listings. Material will be published
on a space available basis and at the discretion of the editorial
staff. All news items and letters should be sent to newsletter@aag.org.

in Geography Ads
“Jobs in Geography” lists positions available with U.S. institutions who are Equal Opportunity Employers seeking applications from men and women from all racial, religious, and national origin groups, and occasionally lists relevant positions with foreign institutions. Listings will be charged at $1.25 per word, with a minimum charge of $150. Announcements run for two consecutive issues unless a stated deadline permits only one listing. Announcements will also be posted on the website within a week of receipt. The charge for running an announcement for an additional (third) month is half again as much as the standard per word rate (150% of the price for a standard two-month ad). We will bill institutions listing jobs after their announcements appear in JIG for the first time. Please direct any questions to the Editor at newsletter@aag.org
