Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS)
This professional association advances the application of geographic technologies in Asia through its scholarly journal (Asian Journal of Geoinformatics) and its academic conferences.
Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS)
AOGS works to promote geophysical science throughout Asia and Oceania. This international society publishes journals and has developed close connections with local and regional societies.
Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS)
Initially created by the Bangladesh Ministry of Water Resources, this scientifically independent center of excellence uses integrated environmental analysis, geographic information systems, remote sensing, and information technology to manage natural resources for sustainable socio-economic development.
Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA)
GISTDA develops applications and provides data services relating to space technology and geo-informatics, and serves as the lead organization in Thailand for establishing common standards for remote sensing and geo-informatics systems. The organization has also created a natural resource information center.
Pacific Islands Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC)
SOPAC is an inter-governmental, regional organization dedicated to providing services to promote sustainable development in the countries it serves. The organization relies upon geographic technologies to carry out its work.
