AAG Career Guide: Resources for Geography Students, Departments, and Professionals

Welcome to the AAG’s Career Guide, a website for individuals seeking information about career opportunities in geography and closely related fields.

The AAG Career Guide provides a variety of practical resources for career development. You can find information about salaries and employment trends for dozens of geography-related occupations using a searchable Careers Database. The AAG Career Guide also features advice for preparing resumes and professional portfolios, information about internships, and a library of videos, interviews, and brochures illustrating the power of geography in the field, classroom, lab, and other workplaces.

Partial funding for AAG Career Guide comes from the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Labor, and the Geography Education National Implementation Project (GENIP). The AAG appreciates the advice of a committee of professional geographers who participated in the development of this website.
